Marimekko layers of tales

Marimekko is an internationally operating lifestyle and design company, whose unique use of colors and iconic fabric patterns have paved the way for bold Finnish design since its founding in 1951. The structure and atmosphere of Marimekko's autumn/winter 2022 campaign images were created by draped fabrics. The setup, created with several separate fabric partitions, constructed room-like spaces and layers in the images. Marimekko's own collection of cotton fabrics was used in the set design, resulting in handcrafted, worn looks and various textures achieved through different shaping techniques.
