Glass, as a material, is both stubborn and fragile, much like nature itself. In both, there is a similar captivating sensitivity and beauty - simultaneously fleeting and eternal. Supporting indoor houseplants or climbing stems in the garden, Flora plant supports are objects whose outlines can be seen as quotations from the world of flora: they mimic the shapes of withered, forgotten plants. Something essential has curled into these forms. They no longer compete with vigorous plants but rather represent a dimly quiet and eternal beauty. The Flora plant support collection was launched at the Artek Helsinki flagship store in spring 2021, with Artek as the exclusive retailer of the collection. The journey continued on to Iittala when the first plant support model was launched as part of Iittala's collection in July 2023.
